Get the right hardware
We offer the ideal development hardware to get started with your Wi-Fi project.
The nRF7002 DK is our development kit for the nRF7002 Wi-Fi companion IC. The nRF7002 implements the PHY and MAC layer protocols. An nRF5340 is used as the host processor and runs the Wi-Fi driver as well as adding Bluetooth and 802.15.4 functionality. The kit contains everything you need to get started with Wi-Fi development on a single board
The nRF7002 EK is an Arduino shield form-factor Evaluation Kit for our nRF70 Series Wi-Fi 6 companion ICs. It is well suited to develop applications with other hosts than the nRF5340 SoC. This kit is the go-to option for the nRF91 Series, nRF52 Series and non-Nordic Hosts. For prototyping we recommend using the nRF7002 EB with our Thingy:53.
The nRF7002 DK, nRF7002 EK, and nRF7002 EB cann all be used to emulate the other devices in the nRF70 Series.
For current measurement we recommend having a look at the Power Profiler Kit ll. It can be used with any of our development kits, prototyping platforms, or your own designs. Our PPK2 works all the way from sub-µA to 1 A and can log up to 500 days as is.

Development hardware
nRF7002 DK
Development Kit for our nRF7002 and nRF7001 Wi-Fi 6 companion ICs. Enabling low-power dual-band Wi-Fi and coexistence with Bluetooth LE, Thread, and Zigbee.
nRF7002 EK
Arduino shield form-factor Evaluation Kit for our nRF70 Series Wi-Fi 6 companion ICs. Enabling low-power dual-band Wi-Fi and coexistence with Bluetooth LE, Thread, Zigbee, and Cellular IoT.
nRF7002 Expansion Board
The nRF7002 Expansion Board is a plug-in board for adding Wi-Fi 6 connectivity to a Nordic Thingy:53.
It contains everything needed to get started developing Wi-Fi applications on the Thingy:53. The board connects with a PCB edge connector to the Thingy:53’s expansion slot and uses the Thingy’s nRF5340 multiprotocol System-on-Chip (SoC) as a host device for the nRF7002 Wi-Fi Companion IC.
