“Glyn was keen to collaborate with Nordic Semiconductor as Nordic is clear market leader in the booming Bluetooth LE technology sector,” says David Newman, ANZ Sales Manager, Glyn Ltd. “Glyn’s decision to partner with Nordic was also influenced by the company’s online support, which accelerates design schedules, and design partnerships with many of the module makers in our region. Module-based solutions are popular with customers here.
“We anticipate good growth in the wireless sector, particularly for applications based on the Internet of Things [IoT] and the Industrial Internet of Things [IIoT],” adds Newman. “Nordic’s products are particularly suitable for these applications because of their multiprotocol support and over-the-air device firmware upgrade [OTA-DFU] capability which allows suppliers and customers to keep their wireless implementations up to date as standards evolve in this fast-moving sector.”
“Glyn’s specialist RF expertise was a key influence on Nordic’s decision to formalize the partnership,” says Wendell Boyd, APAC Sales Manager, Nordic Semiconductor. “That expertise, together with a deep knowledge of and focus on the local market enables Glyn to bring new benefits to our emerging customer base in Australia and New Zealand.”
