Nordic Semiconductor has been awarded ‘A supplier’ status by Rutronik, one of the largest broadline distributors of electronic components in Europe. The A rating recognizes Nordic’s commitment to product quality, continuous improvement, and delivery performance, based on year-round assessment by both Rutronik’s supplier- and quality-management teams.
Rutronik, now in its 50th year of operation, is headquartered in Germany and has 1,900 employees in more than 80 offices worldwide. The independent company also has logistics centers in Texas, Shanghai, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and generates annual sales of around $1.4 billion (€1.28 billion). The company conducts continuous audits of supplier performance benchmarked against delivery performance, product quality, cost, and cooperation criteria. Based on this assessment Nordic was awarded its A supplier rating, achieving 90.7 of a possible 100 points across all categories, including 100 out of 100 ratings for its reliability of products and services, costs and cooperation in 2022.
“Rutronik congratulates Nordic on achieving the best possible rating as an A supplier,” says Markus Krieg, Chief Marketing Officer, Rutronik. “Since the start of our consistently successful partnership in 2006, we have always been amazed at how Nordic finds ways to keep improving. This coincides with our own company philosophy ‘Committed to excellence’.”
“Nordic’s mission plain and simple is to be a world-leading supplier of connectivity solutions,” says Magnus Pedersen, VP of Sales EMEA, Nordic Semiconductor. “To have a well-respected company like Rutronik recognize our company’s success in delivering on this mission with an A-rating as a supplier is hugely rewarding. We have no intention to rest on our laurels with continuous improvement at the center of everything we do.”
Established as the world's leading Bluetooth® LE company, Nordic has since evolved into a wireless IoT company able to wirelessly 'connect anything' via low power wireless technologies such as cellular IoT, DECT NR+, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE.
