Nordic Semiconductor brings comprehensive wireless IoT connectivity solutions to MWC Shanghai 2024
Team of wireless experts to demonstrate cellular IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, nRF Cloud Location, Security and Device Management Services, Matter, DECT NR+, LE Audio, and PMIC solutions at the region's most important connectivity event
Nordic Semiconductor will host a number of advanced, cutting-edge IoT demonstrations at Asia's largest and most influential connectivity event this month, with MWC Shanghai 2024 to be staged from June 26 to 28 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). The showpiece event allows Nordic to demonstrate its complete suite of low-power wireless connectivity solutions spanning cellular IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® LE, Matter, and DECT NR+ IoT technologies.
Demonstrations include a low-power Cellular Asset Tracking demo that seamlessly integrates the industry-leading low-power cellular performance of the nRF9151 SiP with the nRF7000 Wi-Fi 6 Companion IC, providing developers with a powerful combination of GNSS, cell-based, and SSID-based Wi-Fi locationing. Other cellular IoT presentations will include a SoftSIM demo showcasing the benefits of Nordic's range of low-power cellular IoT solutions, nRF Cloud solutions, and partner Onomondo's 100 percent software SIM alternative.
Nordic will also demonstrate Matter over Thread and Matter over Wi-Fi smart home applications using its revolutionary nRF54 Series fourth-generation multiprotocol SoCs. The Matter standard ensures connected devices are interoperable regardless of ecosystem, and the advanced demonstration will show how to control Matter-enabled smart home accessories on a Matter network using both Apple and Google.

Visitors can also experience a Bluetooth LE Audio ('LE Audio') and Auracast™ broadcasting technology demonstration as well as an Audio over DECT NR+ demo. For developers designing the latest audio solutions, Nordic will demonstrate the nRF5340 Audio DK for low-energy and high-quality wireless audio. Nordic's nRF5340 Audio DK includes everything developers need to take advantage of LE Audio's sound quality, low power consumption, and wireless stereo enhancements.
There will be further demonstrations of Nordic's suite of Power Management ICs, machine learning (ML), and channel sounding using the Nordic Distance Toolbox (NDT).
Discussing Nordic’s suite of solutions and applications
In addition to the daily demonstrations, Damien Wong, Director of Sales - Greater China at Nordic Semiconductor, will address the media on June 27 to discuss Nordic's suite of existing cellular IoT, Wi-Fi, and advanced Bluetooth LE solutions and applications, as well as introduce the company's latest products—specifically the nRF54 Series, nRF9161 SiP, and nRF9151 SiP—and expand on nRF Cloud and the new nPM1300 power management IC (PMIC).
