These terms govern participation in all giveaways, events, and competitions organized or sponsored by Nordic Semiconductor ASA ("Nordic") and its partners. By entering, participants agree to comply with these terms as well as any specific terms provided for individual events or giveaways.
No Purchase Necessary
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase the chances of winning.
Eligibility
Participants must be 18+ and reside in eligible regions, as may be specified further. Entrants from countries under international sanctions or export control restrictions are ineligible. Nordic reserves the right to disqualify entries from restricted locations or based on other applicable restrictions in its sole discretion.
How to Enter & Win
Participants must complete the required activities (e.g., event participation, design submissions) to be eligible for a prize. The method of winning may be further specified for each giveaway and is at Nordic’s or its partners' discretion, unless otherwise stated in the event description. Some campaigns or contests may have specific terms and conditions, which will be clearly outlined in the details of the respective campaign or contest.
Sponsorship and Event Partnership
In some instances, Nordic may sponsor or financially support the event or giveaway. This may include providing prizes, covering event costs, or partnering with other organizations to facilitate the event. Any sponsorship or involvement will be clearly disclosed in the event-specific terms or description.
Prize Fulfillment & Shipping
Prizes are fulfilled by Nordic or its partners. Participants are responsible for providing accurate contact information. Prizes will not be shipped to restricted regions under export control laws. Any customs duties are the responsibility of the recipient.
Disqualification
Participants may be disqualified for failing to follow the rules, providing false information, or attempting to manipulate or unfairly influence the contest outcome. Nordic reserves the right to disqualify participants at its discretion.
Tax Obligations
Any taxes or fees associated with receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the participant, in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Export Control Compliance
Entrants confirm compliance with applicable export laws. Nordic may deny shipment or participation due to compliance risks.
Force Majeure
Nordic is not responsible for delays or inability to fulfill the giveaway due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen global events.
Intellectual Property
If the giveaway involves submitting designs, concepts, or other creative works, participants agree that Nordic may use, share, and display the submitted works in connection with the giveaway, including for promotional purposes. Participants retain ownership of their submissions but grant Nordic a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them. No Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are transferred or granted with the development kits provided in the giveaway.
Disclaimer
Nordic is not liable for lost or delayed shipments due to local laws. Prizes are provided "as is" without warranties unless provided by the manufacturer.
Limitation of Liability
Nordic and its partners shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the giveaway or the use of any prizes awarded. Participation in the giveaway is at the entrant’s own risk. Nordic's total liability is limited to the value of the prize awarded.
Privacy
Collection and use of participants' personal information in connection with the giveaway will be governed by either Nordic’s Privacy Policy or the privacy policy of the applicable partner or sponsor involved in the giveaway.
Modification and Termination
Nordic reserves the right to modify or terminate the giveaway at any time. Changes will be communicated to participants as needed.
Applicable Law
This giveaway and its terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising from this giveaway will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Norwegian courts.
