Bluetooth Mesh

Complete solution

For developing your Bluetooth Mesh product

Mesh

If you are developing a Bluetooth Mesh product it is wise to evaluate what the #1 supplier of Bluetooth Low Energy System-on-Chips (SoCs) offers, as Bluetooth Mesh is built on top of Bluetooth LE.

We offer a broad portfolio of SoCs supporting Bluetooth Mesh. The SoCs have different memory sizes and capabilities, enabling you to select the perfect match for your product's requirements. Complementing our SoCs, we offer development hardware, software, and tools to make it easy for you to build your product, while also reducing time-to-market. We offer a qualified Bluetooth Mesh stack with all mandatory and selected optional features supported, in addition to a wide range of application models and samples for lighting and sensor networks. Use this as a foundation to build on top of. We also offer a mobile app, nRF Mesh, available as free source code for both iOS and Android. This is a great starting point for your own app. The app can be used to provision, configure, and control Mesh nodes in evaluation and test.

We offer our excellent technical support to anyone developing a Bluetooth Mesh product with one of our SoCs. We guide you through the whole product development process.

Single-board development kits

We offer single-board development kits containing everything needed to get started with Bluetooth Mesh development on our SoCs. The kits make all features and GPIOs of the SoCs available to the developer, including NFC. All kits have buttons and LEDs, enabling you to give input and get output.. All kits come with an on-board SEGGER J-Link debugger enabling both programming and debugging of the SoC.

We also offer the nRF52840 Dongle. It is complementary hardware to the nRF Connect for Desktop tool. It supports Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread and Zigbee. It can be a low-cost alternative when doing large-scale testing, or when size is important. Do note that it does not have a SEGGER J-Link debugger on board. We recommend buying a proper development kit for development.

For the nRF5340 SoC we also offer an easy-to-use prototyping platform, the Nordic Thingy:53. It is designed to help build prototypes and demos, without the need to build hardware or even write firmware. Do note that it does not have a SEGGER J-Link debugger on board.

We also recommend you have a look at the Power Profiler Kit II (PPK 2). PPK 2 is a tool you can use to measure the current consumption of all our development kits, prototyping platforms, and your own designs, all the way from sub-uA to 1 A.
