Nordic exhibits new innovations in nPower Management ICs, Wi-Fi, cellular IoT, and Bluetooth LE product portfolios at leading European event, and demonstrates Matter, cellular IoT, and Zephyr RTOS applications

Nordic Semiconductor, a global leader in low-power wireless connectivity solutions, today announces it will showcase its nRF54L Series advanced multiprotocol Bluetooth LE Systems-on-Chip (SoCs), nRF9151 low power Cellular IoT System-in-Package (SiP), newly announced nPM2100 ultra-efficient Power Management IC (PMIC), and nRF70 Series Wi-Fi Companion ICs at the upcoming Embedded World (EW) event. EW takes place from March 11 to 13 at NürnbergMesse, Munich, Germany. As a key exhibitor, Nordic will be located at Booth 4A-310 and will also feature on the Zephyr Project booth 4-170.

“Embedded World is a key event for the global semiconductor industry, and this year, Nordic is unveiling major advancements across Bluetooth LE, Cellular IoT, Wi-Fi, and PMICs - demonstrating our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions for a wide range of IoT applications,” says Vegard Wollan, CEO of Nordic Semiconductor. “With a sharpened strategic focus and an accelerated pace of innovation, visitors to our booth will be able to witness how we are empowering developers with the solutions they need to bring next-generation products to market faster and more efficiently.”

Showcasing leading-edge, low power wireless IoT solutions

Visitors to the booth can learn about the newly announced nPM2100, an ultra-efficient PMIC for primary-cell batteries with accurate, low-power fuel-gauging capabilities. The nPM2100 is the latest product in the company’s nPM Family of PMICs. The nRF70 Series Wi-Fi Companion ICs will also be in action using Zephyr or with Linux as the host operating system.

Nordic’s booth will also play host to its next-level nRF54L Series SoCs. The SoCs redefine Nordic’s leadership in ultra-low power wireless connectivity for the IoT and bring enhanced efficiency and exceptional processing power, extending performance and flexibility across the widest range of IoT applications. The nRF54L15, nRF54L10, and nRF54L05 are now broadly available for development and in full-volume production. The booth will host demos showcasing the nRF54L Series’ improvements in power consumption and performance, including a new Bluetooth Channel Sounding demo. Bluetooth Channel Sounding enhances how Bluetooth LE devices measure distance and detect presence.

The company will also show its recently released Cellular IoT solution, the nRF9151 SiP. The nRF9151 SiP is the lowest power cellular IoT solution with industry leading battery lifetime performance. The SiP features an integrated LTE-M/NB-IoT and DECT NR+ modem, together with GNSS. The Thingy:91 X IoT prototyping platform—which features the nRF9151, nRF5340 SoC, nRF7002 Companion IC, and nPM6001 and nPM1300 PMICs—will be used for a live demo comparing asset tracking technologies.

In addition, one of the demonstrations on the booth will use Matter to control smart home devices directly from smartphones with built-in Thread support. Matter is a unifying application layer for Thread, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth LE. Meanwhile, visitors to the Zephyr booth can explore the benefits of the Zephyr ecosystem and its advantages in embedded development.
